| 1. |
The teams will be divided into groups for the Preliminary round. |
| 2. |
The teams would be kept in the group decided by the Event supervisor at the time of registration. No requests for change in groups would be entertained. |
| 3. |
The group for which the teams will speak & the topic for each group will be given to the respective teams at the time of registration. |
| 4. |
From each team, one of the contestant has to prepare for the motion and the other against it. |
| 5. |
The first contestant from each team will have to speak for two minutes. |
| 6. |
The second contestant will have to start speaking as soon as the first participant ends his/her speech. |
| 7. |
After each contestant from every team has spoken, there will be a two min. questioning period where the team will be asked questions by their opponents. |
| 8. |
The participants will not be allowed to take any written material inside the room where the event will take place. |
| 9. |
The participants will be disqualified if any written material is found with them. |
| 10. |
The top three teams from each group will qualify for the finals. |
